You've got a shirt... now let's sell as many as we can!!!
TIP #1 - TELL YOUR STORY!
- Start the conversation: You're not just selling a t-shirt... you're giving a chance for someone to be a part of your calling!
- Use various channels: Email, social media, texts, calls, letters, blogs, in-person, etc. Tell all of your social circles about your fundraiser.
- Request prayers: Build a supportive prayer team to rally behind you.
TIP #2 - USE SOCIAL MEDIA
- Use multiple channels: Spread the word via text, Instagram, X, Facebook, email, and more.
- Tag @fundthenations in ALL of your posts: Our digital team wants to share your fundraiser as often as possible.
- Leverage social media: Use platforms effectively by employing hashtags like #ShopFTN and #fundthenations to reach potential supporters actively searching for fundraising t-shirts.
- Engage your audience: Share updates, behind-the-scenes stories, and progress reports to keep supporters engaged and excited about your cause.
- Visual appeal: Post high-quality images or videos of the t-shirts to grab attention and generate interest.
TIP #3 - SHIP SHIRTS DIRECTLY TO YOUR SUPPORTERS
- Explore FTN Direct: Our team can handle individual shirt shipments. Check it out! This option isn't for everyone, but it's a good option if you want to reach those outside of your local community.
- Weigh the pros and cons of shipping: While we don't typically handle individual shirt shipments, it's not due to reluctance but rather to empower you to save costs.
- Price out shipping: Shipping a shirt in a bag/envelope typically costs $2.50-$4 per shirt, depending on the distance.
- Consider convenience: In today's e-commerce landscape, people are accustomed to covering shipping costs and people prefer to order online for a faster shopping experience.
- Keep it personal: Sharing a link to your store is a great start, but adding your personal touch makes all the difference. Reach out to your network and share your story, your goals, and how they can support you best.
TIP #4 - SET GOALS
- Set Specific Daily Targets: Break down your overall fundraising goal into smaller daily targets. This makes progress more manageable and keeps you focused. Here's a resource to help promote your daily goals.
- Create Urgency: Share what your actual fundraising goal is and offer a deadline for when you need to receive your funds.
- Engage Your Community: Personally reach out to friends, family, and supporters to ask for their help in meeting daily sales goals. Ask them to share the post or send it to five of their friends.
- Incentivize Sales: Offer incentives such as free gifts or exclusive content for those who make a purchase, encouraging more people to participate. Stickers are a great idea for a free gift!
- Celebrate Milestones: Acknowledge and celebrate each milestone reached! Do something wild and crazy when you hit your goal. We've seen people shave their heads, plunge in cold water and so much more
TIP #5 - SHOW OFF YOUR DESIGN WELL
- Use Canva: This is an easy tool you can use to create reels and static images showing off your design!
- Consider ordering a few up front: People love seeing tangible items. By ordering the minimum(13) and having a photoshoot with a few close friends, you can boost your sales. While we advocate for no-risk fundraising, you'll easily be able to sell 13 items to your family and friends.
